Since the inception of the AVRF children’s Embracing Diversity” calendar in 2003, we have kept a copy of each. Every year we have had the privilege of featuring 12 children living with vitiligo. Each child has had the opportunity to share their ups and downs of living with this skin disorder. Please note that in 2005, the AVRF was awarded a trophy from the “American Academy of Dermatology”
Presented to us in San Diego, CA. Although it was an honor to receive such an award, the children are truly my heroes. It is our hope and dream that by creating these yearly calendars they will help raise much needed awareness through education. Thank You And Enjoy Your Blessings,
