Having Vitiligo has affected my life, in good ways and bad. People that don't know me stare and make fun of me. Yet the people that know me don't even look at me any different. It makes me feel very sad inside that people are so mean and they judge a book by its cover not by what's inside someone’s heart!

I have made a lot of new friends through AVRF. I have realized that I am not the only one with Vitiligo and that there are a lot of kids out there and they are going through the same thing I am. Vitiligo is not who I am; it's what God blessed me with! Vitiligo and AVRF have made me a stronger person!
