Hi, I’m Cree.
I’m 13 years old and have had Vitiligo for 9 years now. My first spot appeared on my left arm. After my mom was aware of it, she took me to several dermatologists before one could actually tell me the correct condition of my skin. I had to live 5 years dealing with the criticism, until finally hearing about AVRF. One day my mom told me I was going to an AVRF Seminar, and in the back of my mind I thought it was sort of a “business” thingy where I had to take notes and what not. But when I arrived and saw NOTHING but kids like me, all that showed on my face was a permanent smile. I was glad to know I’m not alone.

I thank God every day that he showed me AVRF, and I finally realized I shouldn’t be mad at the world because God doesn’t make mistakes. Aside of AVRF, I took an awesome trip with my lovely mother to get myself a UVB Light Box. That helped me a whole bunch, but I still had to find the “real” Cree inside, the Cree who didn’t care about what faces people made as they saw her white spots, as well as the Cree who is in love with herself. After all the “Julys” I spent with my great friends and Ms. Stella at the AVRF Seminars, I began to uncover that “Cree” I knew I had all along. I began to wear shorts, and threw away some of my jeans. Soon my friends realized that I was just like them. I loved to dance, play my trombone and piano, and was a fanatic at sports. I am finally in love with Cree!!!
