Dear Stella and Guests,

A saying I often repeat, "Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day; teach him how to fish and you feed him for a lifetime," describes much of the philosophy behind the success of the American Vitiligo Research Foundation. For over a decade now, AVRF has stood in the gap to educate, counsel, prvide for and in general restore and strengthen lives.

The staff, friends and volunteers have continued on when supplies were short; when money was short; in fact, when everything was short except dedication... and prayer. It is that very sacrifice that bears witness to the success of the American Vitiligo Research Foundation; "to walk by faith and not by sight." It is also the reason so many people have been given hope and a new life.

I send my warmest greetings to each and every one attending the Annual Seminar. Knowing your thoroughness, Stella, and the dedication of those working with you, especially Marilyn, I am certain each attendee will receive valuable information from the outstanding speakers; and , education increases hope. I also know everyone here will b etreated like family, because that is the attitude an dhaert of AVRF.
